Made some progress today tearing down the '58.....

Got the hood and passenger side doors off......

Laid the floor pans in to test fit before welding......

Then I really need to find a good upholsterer (I'm KIDDING!!)

All in all it doesn't look too bad.

    I believe she's buildable !

I'm having a problem with the straps on the gas tank. I thought they would have been 'T' bolts, but it appears they're not. there is a slot in the support brace they are bolted to, so I suppose I need to loosen them enough to slide the bolt head out of the support.

Strange I thought all GM had T bolts for the gas tank straps.

Are the floorpans from another chevy or repros? That'll do the trick alright! The seats are survivors. There's a few links in the Site Links Directory. A few vendors even have the original fabric patterns.

Lookin' sharp! Keep it up, the Rev has a fleet to fix! :biglaugh:

The front floor pans came with the car, but are repros from 'who knows where'.....the rear pans are repros I got last week from a vendor in Pennsylvania (still not positive about being allowed to mention vendors such as Lutty's).

If you ain't spammin', jam in the links or contact numbers. Wagon parts are hard to find, so I don't think there's an issue. Heck, I'd have been tossed out after the 2nd week! They call me the link 'infester'.

Mind you if it's a good vendor with specialty stuff for classics, you could also put it into the Site Links Directory off the main page. Automobile Restoration links. Add Entry, and the rest is 1,2,3.:)
