I never had a pedal car. I only had one of those weird ones with the two large wheels on the side that had handles, and a caster fire and aft. I'll see if I can find a pic to post up.

What, did you expect a pink-painted Mustang? All the girls I saw 'driving' pedal cars, they just were modelled after regular cars. No cop, fire or military vehicles, just cars.
And you never drove his? Or did your parents think that was a sign of you thumbing your nose at them?
We had three pedal cars when I was gowning up. All were plastic. One was a cherry 7-up 57 Thunderbird that my Grandpa found at Saint Vincent DePaul's. Another was a black bandit Trans Am, which I can't recall where that came from. And then lastly there was "the Kitt Car". It was K.I.T.T. from my favorite TV show Knight Rider. It had a working red light in the nose and would play pre-recorded messages with the push of a button. I loved that thing. I still had it into adulthood, something I intended to somehow restore eventually. But unfortunately somewhere along the way I lost track of it. I don't know what ultimately happened to it.
