I was a bit worried when I read the above, that you were giving the Fury to a 'backyard body man' to fix. Then I saw the 'in process' pics. He's doing it right........

Thanks for your concern Marshall. ;)
I've seen a bunch of his previous work, so I was pretty confident that he would do a good job.

Nice! Looks nice and straight and it looks like he got the radius of the door right. Sweet! :) I bet you're looking forward to getting her back! BTW, how much more time do you typically have in your part of Washington before you have to put her away for the winter?

Yes, it looks like he is doing a fantastic job.

Every year is different of course, but I can generally drive the Fury and F-100 into November. In fact I drove the F-100 to work today!

It looks nice from the photos. I bet you're excited to see it in person!

Yeah, every year is different for sure. That sounds about right for where I am in my part of Canada too. Sometimes you can even drive into December before the snow and road salt starts, but mid to late November is usually the end of the collector car driving season here. However, with the ever-changing climate our winters are getting warmer and warmer. The last 4-5 years in particular have seen more rain than snow overall. We had about 3 weeks of true winter in February last year, but before and after that it was mostly around or above the freezing mark with not much snow, and the nights have been much warmer too. Usually when we get snow it doesn't last long and most of the winter is in a constant, and at times a daily freeze and thaw cycle. lol

Sounds about the same as what we have been experiencing here as well.

    Thanks Jennifer.
Got a text message from my buddy Sunday morning after church saying the car was done and ready to go. So we hitched a ride with my best friend and went out to get the Fury.

I think it turned out fantastic! It needs a good cleaning now, but that will have to wait a few weeks for everything to cure.

That really does look good. You can never quite tell from photos, but the colour matching looks spot on. I bet if you're ecstatic about it that the work your buddy did is tip top. Congrats! :thumbs2:

You're absolutely right, it can be very hard to tell from photos. But take it from me, it looks fantastic.
    And yes, I am ecstatic.

My best buddy Tim, who brought us to get the Fury, was so impressed. Now he's trying to convince me to paint the rest of the car. I said "Nope. Not gonna happen."

The boys and I went on what is probably going to be the last adventure in the Fury this year over the past weekend.
there is a little town on the foothills about 45 minutes from our house and they were having a kids arts and crafts deal on Saturday. It was being held in their restored/renovated old service station. I had been following the progress of the work on the old station from afar and had heard that it was completed. I was looking for an excuse to go out there and check things out. This was the perfect opportunity.

This decision is WagonTheDog approved! :thumbs2:

I never passed up the opportunity to do that at his age either. :D ...Come to think of it, sometimes I still can't pass up that kind of opportunity! :scratchchin:
