I really like this car, but it's sad to see the paint already failing and with a body off restoration who lets a one-armed blind dude weld the exhaust with a 110 wire feed...:hmmm:

OMG...$45.5..look at the bidding..two guys get in a bidding war and double the price for themselves! 50k after fees..WAY over the money for this car IMHO..
All I can say is.. if your stubborn enough to get in a bidding war at an auction...congrats to the seller..
And to the buyer..a fool and his money will soon be parted..
Wagon Values up..up..UP.. makes us all happy!

I never see anything on BAT go for a good deal. That’s why I don’t bid on stuff on there. A lot of guys with too much money fighting over stuff. Not my scene.

Yes, unfortunately if they have money to waste this is still America and they can do it. Some members here like to see the prices of wagons go up but I personally don’t. I am a preservationist and I would like to still purchase and preserve more wagons. The higher they go the harder it is for me to acquire them. I rarely sell anything that enters my collection and I don’t do this for an anticipated increase in value of the cars I collect. I do it for the love of the vehicles from a bygone time.

Wow...is right!! When that sweet wagon cleared 30k the negative equity began for the future owner...maybe even before the 30k mark..imo

Think the grandson may break even. I just can’t get over what these wagons are bringing. About 5 years ago $10,000 would buy you the best wagon out there.

152F38FC-A09E-4983-A9C0-E7EB66E47ED5.jpeg I remember paying $2,700 for a pristine’71 Country Sedan with 29,000 miles on it back in 2005. Times they are a changing.
