    I'm going to say it has a 3-Speed Trans and he set the E-Brake, but left it in Neutral. Either that or left it in Gear, but with no Brake on. As much as I don't like Automatics, they don't roll in Park.

    A friend of mine had to tow a '60 Wagon out of our local lake. Divers had to go down to hook the cable and he winched it out. A fisherman left it in Neutral and roll it did.
