Hi my name is Kevin, I'm in the Chicagoland area. I am a new member, looking forward to first Station wagon purchase. I'm trying to pick up a 1992 Buick RoadMaster, I want a LT1 V8 w/ RWD and enough room for the fam. Does anyone know if it has seat belts or where I can get new interior

A 1992 Roadmaster will have adequate seat belts. You can research if a 4 door interior is the same and see if you can find a nice interior. I doubt there are any aftermarket parts for that vehicle. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Kevin! Have you found a Roadmaster already or still looking? It took me the most of five years to find "the right one", a 65 vista. Anyway again welcome and enjoy your stay!.....Longroofs Rule!

I actually found it, I will be picking it up tomorrow. Body is mostly rust free it has 230k on the clock. All the power options work, also the A/C and heat! I am buying it for $700, its gonna be my first starter wagon. Id like to lower it put some big wheels on it, get some nice exhaust, stop it from leaking, and cruise with my wife and 3 week old that was just born. I'd like to have it mostly done by my birthday in April so we can take it to our local drive in, which always opens on the weekend of my birthday! I look forward to posting on here and occasionally looking for help!

Welcome aboard WildWoody. Sounds like you got a pretty good starter wagon. Post some photos when you get a chance. We love photos.
Good luck with the project. I hope you're able to get it done in time. :thumbs2:

Welcome. The LT1 didn't come on board in the full size cars until '94. Up to that point was the L03 305 and L05 350. I think the 305 was only available in the Roadmaster wagon in '91. After that I believe the 350 was standard.

Is there anything you can do to build those up a bit, just like to the 300 HP mark?

At the end of the day it is a 350 so I don't see why not. The stock heads, cam, and induction aren't great. If you aren't in an area that requires emissions testing the first thing I would probably do is ditch the speed density TBI. That will be the biggest hurdle to increasing power as it cannot adapt to large increases in air flow and there aren't many people that can tune those systems.

Yeah I see that now, I'm just looking to do cam intake header throttle body. Wheels, bodywork drop it and paint and exhaust

Update I did not get to do any of the engine stuff done. Did the stereo, wheels, cosmetic stuff, and did all the rust work. Now it's going away today, but switching for a different RoadMaster a 1996 with the LT1.
