Missing my annual drive to Michigan for the Woodward Dream Cruise this year. Back home in Western New York we have been setting up some smaller cruises in nearby towns. Last weekend in Brockport, NY was one of our best. The local Strand movie theater is one of the oldest in the country. The current Pandemic has kept the theater closed since March and at the request of our car club (Rochester Street Rods) they placed "American Graffiti" on their marque. We let the cars pull up in front of the theater and for a donation that our car club gave to the theater owner, drivers got a picture of their car. I enjoyed the fun evening cruising with my Custom 56 Wagon to ElCamino conversion. This well done video one of our members made highlights the great evening we all had. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVmlTmgpU7Q...
WOW Rmay that's a awesome video! Very nostalgic with the theatre and all! Looked to be a good turnout. I think I have told you about the cruise in at Angelica NY, anyway they didn't have the first one (last Thursday of the month, June, July, August, and September) but they resumed in July. Would be great if you and some of your friends could come down and enjoy some southern tier hospitality! (anyone that wants to join in the cruise is more than welcome!) Usually around 100 or more "vehicles " Everyone has a open invitation! Hope to see some new faces and cars at the next one!.....Longroofs Rule!
That was a GREAT Cruise video! Love this from the radio: Wolfman Jack (to caller): "What kind of entertainment you got in that town?" Caller: "All we got is YOU." I think I fell in love with that cool blue-with-white coves '62 Corvette.........
I thought it was cool when the new Vette was getting its picture taken in front of the theatre and the 62 pulled up across the street, both being the same blue......Lonroofs Rule!
That's pretty awesome RMay. Glad folks are finding ways to enjoy their classics, hang out with each other and support local businesses.
Took a 350+ mile Cruise with my Custom NOMARO Wagon today. Enjoyed the ride and the people I met along the way. Best part was the huge hug I got from my 4 year old Granddaughter when I arrived.
Totally enjoyed the video, thank you. I agree an awesome way to raise a few bucks for the theater and have an amazing cruise night for everyone, car owners and car lovers.
