    Hi all,
I'm a Mopar guy from way back. A few years ago I bought my wife a 65 Plymouth Belvedere wagon. It's her summer beach car. Now I am doing some resto work on it. Glad to be here.

Welcome to the SWF Timmayy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the beach wagon.

So far I've done the electronic ignition conversion, complete front end rebuild, SS fuel lines, shocks, tune up and added front and rear sway bars. It was driving nice until the rear axle bearings went. I just had the leafs rebuilt and I have an 8 3/4 suregrip rear from a 68 roadrunner that I'm going to put in.

Now for the hard part. Since I'm out of work because of the pandemic, I stripped the interior. What a can of worms. Time to start on my metal fabrication skills. A lot of old hacks and a lot of daylight coming through.

Welcome to the site. Like your ‘65! Good luck with it. I’m sure brother Orthmann can give you some tips on tearing stuff out if the ole gal.

Here's an update. I fabricated a new spare tire well. Since they don't make replacements I cut the one out of my 66 Charger parts car. I cut it in half and then used sheet metal to extend it. Brushed on chassis paint and sprayed truck bedliner. Now I'm repairing the fuel tank.

After I repair the pinholes on the fuel tank I can put the rear suspension back together.

Since getting the 67 Fury wagon I'm not giving up on the 65 Belvedere wagon. I just got the carb rebuilt and now it runs nice. I took it out the other day. I'm thinking of keeping it for my little side business. I sell comic, collectibles, artwork and vintage car parts. My plan is to keep the rear seats out like a delivery wagon. I also want to put some big oldschool wheels out back and lift the front a little for that gasser look. I'll go through the little 273 v8 and put headers and dual exhaust. Keep it old school cool.

I'm glad to hear that you are going to be keeping the 65. I'm a little partial to that body style. ;)
