WOW...talk about memories. Had a lot of that stuff! I had the same bike, too. Maroon and cream color tutone.
So much going on there. I love it. Cars, trucks, horses, army men, toy gun, and don’t forget the glue of all of that. Mom’s cup of coffee, and her pack of Winston’s, or Salem’s.
And don't forget that super cool 50s Jetson's kitchen table. My parents had a table like the one in the photo. The top was blue with silver highlights, the edging was chrome like a Buick bumper, and the legs were chrome tubing. Went well with the Danish Modern 19" television/record player combo in the living room. You had to be there.
He ought to be thankful for a mother who wasn't wearing combat boots, smoking Marlboros while tipping the bottle
I was! I even kept the table for several years of my adult life! Sadly, I had to dispose of it when one of the legs buckled, and in the pre-Internet days, I couldn't find a replacement. Oh, and ours was yellow!
REALLY wish I had kept some of the toys from my childhood. Had probably as many as 10 Tonka trucks at one time, and of course those small gas station setups where the vehicles were maybe 1:43 scale, or smaller. I might browse some vintage stores around here (+estate sales) for some office decorations. I never really got into the Matchbox cars and other vehicles - too small for me. Did have one or two Corgi vehicles. Anyone still have a wind-up Schuco racer?
I've been going through my boxes that made it down here, and though the car carrier didn't make the trip, the two late '60s Ranchero's did, along with my 1/18th scale Herbie the Love Bug and my two Speed Racer Mach 5 remote/radio control cars.
Me too Krash. I remember having one of those Remco Barney’s Auto factories with the different colored bodies and tops, wheels and chassis. I would play with that thing for hours.
OMG, Remco! I had a friend who had that factory playset! One of the toys I had, that I thought was very cool, was the Texaco tanker that was about 3 feet long, you could ride on it, and you steered it by tilting the cab to one side or the other.
