    Hi all,

I am new here. Located in southern Delaware, I have recently thought I would get rid of my Toyota FJ Cruiser and replacing it with a much more practical station wagon. Due to garage size, I will be looking for something close to 17 feet long (204 inches). So, as nice as they are, that eliminates most 70's and 80's models. I look forward to seeing what you all are doing!

Welcome roadventure! The only ‘70’s wagons that might fit the bill are the midsized wagons. The ‘50’s wagons are probably the right size as well. As far as practicality it seems that a nice full size ‘80s GM, or FoMoCo wagon could fit the bill nicely. They are a very nice road car with room of a wagon, and nice styling. Although they are climbing in value you can still find some bargains out there. Good luck with whatever you wind up with. And again, Welcome!

Welcome! If you had said a Toyota Land Cruiser I would have sworn you were my friend/co-worker who also leaves in southern Delaware. Good luck with your search for the perfect wagon.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you are in an envious position. I'd love to have to decide which wagon to buy.

Thanks for the welcomes! I plan on going to the Carlisle events this year to do some shopping (maybe buying depending on what I see). Am also searching the internet. Location is not important to me as the first test of my eventual purchase will be to drive it home whether the ride be 50 miles or 3000 miles.

Cruiser2.jpg Welcome! Glad to have you on the forum...Sorry to hear you let your FJ go. For me, I kept the FJ60 and sold one of my Vettes. I think you'll love the wagon and miss the FJ ;-)

I still own my FJ Cruiser. My issue is that of space. I only have room for two cars (one belongs to wife) and my motorcycle. So, when a wagon comes home, the FJ Cruiser will need to go. :(

It seems that we are all faced with this dilemma at some point or another.

I had to part ways with my beloved Jimmy when my wagon followed me home.
