74 Ambassador, 47,000 miles. I just got it last week. Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted a 74. I've owned a 73 Ambassador and a 75 Matador in the past. The bad part is it will be going into storage for the winter. Northeast PA winters are too harsh for my baby. Fairly low optioned, power brakes, steering a/c were standard. As far I can tell, the only option as the reclining seats. Crank windows, even in the tailgate, and this is a 2 seat wagon. 304 2 bbl runs like a champ.
Nice license plate...it'd work better if your wagon were race-prepped...hmmm, perhaps you should get a vanity plate: KILRWGN.
Not to bring a bad situation back into the light but I was looking at your garage page and saw your unfortunate 73 wagon (what a bummer!) Do you still have the 75? Your 74 is a nice looking longroof ,bet you can't wait for spring so you can get her out and enjoy!......Longroofs Rule!
Oh by the way, I see your from NE Pennsylvania. What vicinity? I live in Friendship NY. about 75 miles SE of Buffalo on the NY, PA border. Yeah it must be a bummer to buy a vehicle and have to put in storage right after acquiring it. I keep my 65 Vista out of the NE weather from November to April. All cozy in the garage, can't wait for that spring thaw!....Longroofs Rule!
no, i had to sell the 75. Long story, I was hurt at work and off for 3 months. Killed me a little bit to sell it but I had bills to pay. Took me about 5 yrs to get to the point of being able to get another wagon. This one better be a keeper!
