Oh man that’s a beaut!! Too bad you had to let her go. I have an aunt in Aldie. Are you on the hunt for another wagon or no? Are there some good shows around our area to see some cool cars/wagons?

    Thanks!

Yeah I have a punch list: I need new breaks (or drum pads I don’t know if I need both), She lets in the rain when it’s raining really heavy (comes in through the passenger side firewall but not sure where yet), I want to replace the belts, change the oil, and I’m having a random right blinker issue I need to address...oh and I have to fix and exhaust leak lol. That’s my short list haha.

No, I am in northeast Tennessee near the KY-VA-TN border. You are way upstate from where I am. But hey, welcome anyway. :D

Awesome! I’m in the Lovettsville area. Any good meet and greets or shows in our area?

I'm in Berryville. There is another member here who lives in Lovettsville. Joe has a couple vintage Olds wagons, and can most often be seen in a 62 Olds F-85 wagon with a decal on the back that says, "If it runs, it's done".
All the shows are pretty much over for the year and won't be starting back up again till April. The only exceptions are the Saturday morning Cars and Coffee at Katy's in Great Falls, but you have to be there by 7am to park and its over by 8:30 am. Too early for me. There is also a Sunday morning Cars and Coffee at the Dunkin Donuts at Dulles Crossing near RT 50 and RT 606. I haven't been to that one in years, but it doesn't end quite as early in the morning. In the spring the cruise ins will start up again. Best one in the region is the Saturday afternoon cruise in at Hagerstown Valley Mall in Hagerstown, MD (usually about 300 to 400 cars). Locally, there is a Friday night cruise in at Charles Town, WV at the Weis Supermarket shopping center. Best shows are the down town Charles Town car show, and down town Berryville car show, but those are only once a year in August, and the Rockville, MD car show at the civic center is in October and you just missed it, and then the car show at Sulley Plantation on Fathers Day in June. There are always other car shows and cruise ins in the region, but they are hit or miss for good ones worth your time. Check the Capitol Cruisin website for Events & Shows as well as for Cruise ins. http://capitalcruisin.com/index.html

From April through October, theres always something going on every weekend, and we're less than a two hour drive from the big car events at Carlisle and Hershey. But, I'm sure southern California, Florida and plenty of other places have more and larger events than most that we have around here.

That's pretty good for not being in a warm weather climate.

Yes I remember doing corvettes of Carlisle with my Pop growing up...didn’t appreciate it as much then. I was looking on the web for something like that for wagons but never found anything.

I know there are events for wagons, but not any that I'm aware of around here. At some of the Carlisle events, such as the Mopar show, they have a class just for wagons so the wagons park together. But even then, some wagon owners prefer to enter their wagons is the same classes as the sedan and coupe versions of their model.
