I've been a long time fan of wagons. My dream is to have a 66 Belvedere II wagon to tow my 66 2 door hard top. Right now though I'm settling on an 88 Dodge Aries wagon. Yeah I know pretty mundane, but I have the engine, harness, and everything needed to install a 2.5 turbo Dodge engine in it. I'm looking forward to the project. It will be the third FWD Mopar I've converted but probably the coolest one yet. I'm going to pick it up next weekend so until then I will enjoy all of the sweet wagons I've seen in the gallery. Sean
Thanks guys. I would definately not turn down any 65/66/67 Belvedere wagon that was parked in my driveway.

Cappy, I have to see this Aspen project! I wanna convert a 1985 Ford Escort Squire or Mercury Lynx Villager wagon from FWD to RWD. That sounds like one interesting challenge. Good to have you on board.
Thanks, but its an Aries. It will still be FWD just have the readily avaible back then 2.5 turbo engine where the N/A TBI engine sits. I was thinking on my 45 mile commute this morning how cool it would be to back half it with a 10.5 tire and put either a 440 from my Belvedere or my 360 thats going in my Dakota in it.
A similar engine combo I had in my old Horizon it was in the mid 13's, I'm hoping for high 13's out of the wagon. You put that 2.3 turbo motorin yours and it will be flying. Those motors make great h.p.
I'm watching the local auctions for a 1988 or 1989 Thunderbird Supercoupe with the Turbo version = 195 HP. then buckle that up to a 5 speed trans (my wife will not drive an automatic), but she likes the ZIPPY factor.
My wagon officially weighs 2,645 lbs with the V8, and about 2,605 lbs with the current I6. The I4 would weigh about 2,575 with a Std. Trans. The Escort villager is about 1,900 or 1,875 lbs. 10 lbs per HP!!! Should be ZIPPY enough.
