Heck, I didn't even know they put moonroofs in Panther wagons this late in the game. I checked it out, and it looks Fomoco - legitimate. It's a shame, because it looks like it was a decent ride before it got in the yard and got banged up
Albuquerque U Pull and Pay on South Broadway What's interesting about this is that there was a 79 (?) T-Bird with T-Tops in there and when you do the inventory look-see online you can clearly see a complete car with the T-tops in place. However, when I went down there, someone took the whole roof off of the car! Imagine that...I guess someone had a T-Bird and wanted to add the T-roof to theirs (?)
At least they showed some initiative. It is New Mexico. I would not have been surprised if they just took the T tops and cut side holes in their roof.
It may go by many names and is in many places in the world, but it all just owes its roots to some good old fashioned American Redneck Engineering...plain and simple.
I suspect the moon roof might be an aftermarket installation. No listing in the '90 Crown Vic brochure of a moon roof being available.
Which is weird, because I've seen all three Panther platforms with factory moonroofs. What I haven't seen is any wagon with a factory moonroof.
Well if it was aftermarket, it may have been done at the dealer, 'cause it sure looks like they did a heck of a job replicating a factory install.
