    Just joined group.

In the process of rebuilding our 65 Chevelle Malibu 4 door for the second time. Back in 92 was the first time as my wife's DD and family car.

This time as a weekend toy.

Very, very nice. From the East Coast. Our 1965's were usually rust heaps inside 5 years. Had a 1967 Mustang that was rusting out by 72.

    Thank you all!

Wife drove the car for about 10 years or so, one day after coming home from work she asked me "why do guys keep giving me a thumbs up when I drive by?" I replied, "They think you are a hot chick."

Car was in a couple of fender benders with in as many months and had a carb fire so we parked it back around 2002 or so.

Currently it is white and I have built a four bolt main 327 that is .030" over with a few boy toy parts in and on it. Also has a 4 speed overdrive 700r4 in it now instead of the 2 speed powerglide.

    Welcome aboard Daryl.
I always liked the '65-'65 Chevelle body style....2-dr or 4-dr. Cool wagon. Good to see you're getting closer to putting it back on the road. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Couldn’t think of a better DD, or family car. It’s nice that it’s gonna be the “toy”. Pretty Wagon what color are you putting it back to? Reason I asked you said “currently” white.

Welcome Daryl. :Handshake: Looks like a great wagon project.
I give a hi-five or thumbs up to all pretty women. Even those who drive a Pinto.:thumbs2:

Well ModelT1 when you get to a certain age you give all women a high 5. Certainly not taking anything away from Daryl’s wife, but, I want you to think back to 1971. Were you high five-ing women in Pinto’s then?

    Sorry, I didn't catch my mistake. I meant '64-'65. I guess I was distracted. :90:
Looks like you're making headway on the car. (y)
Btw, is the cowl hood scoop metal? Are you going to panel bond it or weld it on?

Anytime I drove thru Gainesville, I got distracted passing the college. Even by girls driving 1971 Pintos.:mischeif:
