The current bid is still well within reason. I'd say, it's worth a try. Nobody seems to be going Gung Ho, on this. If it's genuinely a rust-free California car competently rebuilt as claimed, it's worth well over the current bid. I'd personally would love to have it. He could keep the wide whitewalls, though. They were never offered, original to the car

They're great little wagons. I loved the '68 that I owned. I'd love to own another one.
You just don't see them anymore...like old VW beetles and buses.
That one appears to be in pretty decent shape compared to some of the POS' I've seen for sale at considerably more money than that one.

I would have said Alfa Giulietta, because it's hard to detect the ISO frowns. But, since the Alfa grille piece isn't to be detected, no other possibility is left than to peg it as an ISO

Don't know about the car by the building, can't get over the fins on that mint green Plymouth. Looks like a 57.

I remember when we had a deep blue one and often wished it were someplace else. We knew several VW dealership owners and repairmen by their first names.
That said, I'll admit ours was a lemon and I actually enjoyed driving it, when it ran.
The price on this red Squareback and the condition almost makes me wanna bid on it. I've made weirder bids lately.
