I have seen a lot of drag week cars, but to successfully run a throttle body AND a mechanical injection with a blower is genius. I hope to see more of this car. I like Swamp thing too though, so I wouldn't change a damn thing, especially any body work.
Sh#t box of doom is one bad @$$ wagon! The only thing wrong with her is the hemi. In my own personal opinion ,motors from other makes don't go in cars of other makes! My two cents, but other people may beg to differ! Call me a purist....Longroofs Rule!
I would generally agree. But, if there are enough wagons to go around, I suppose we can make a couple of exceptions, now and then. People shouldn't make Transengining a habit, though. If they do and the wrong crowd catches on, doing such things might get this practise anchored into some sort of "Politicalcorrectness". We surely don't want the Lunatic Fringe protesting by holding up picket signs at every event where cars are raced with engines which belong in them
Heh! My Longroof came from the factory with an engine of another make! I figure if I do an engine swap that pisses off random people on the internet, I'm probably doing it right.
Sorry to rain on your parade Darcane but you didn't piss me off. Everyone is allowed to express their tastes in what ever way they want....Longroofs Rule!
Well, if his Longroof left the factory with an engine from another brand, this isn't necessarily Transenginism. That Longroof , in its entirety, is still 100% original. When Chrysler was partly owned by Mercedes-Benz, for example, Chrysler 300Cs having Mercedes V-6 Turbo Diesel engines dropped into them wasn't the worst thing to have happened
As Ivy said... mine is still stock: Buick with an Olds engine. But I like the above wagons, Hemi and all. I'm the sort of guy that would throw an SR20DET in a Corvette just to watch all the purists get squeamish. I'd also like a diesel swap in a Prius and tune it to roll coal...
You’d be disappointed in the “classics” in Cuba! After looking at some of those rig jobs you get thankful just to see a motor from another car period!
