With hidden headlamps?!

It’s like having a Grand Prix Wagon!

 

Yeah, a Grand Prix with a smallblock Chevy engine

 

Kind of a shame about the condition, as this would be a stunning unusual car if restored

About five years ago I talked to a guy that had started a 67 Pontiac Executive wagon project (Grand Prix nose, big block, Grand Prix bucket interior, six lug wheels, the whole sha-bang!) I couldn't strike a deal (he was in the stratosphere) Would have been a cool wagon to own, oh well, happy to end up with my 65 Olds. Maybe this guy got his inspiration from the Canadian Parisienne?.....Longroofs Rule!

 

Those with the Grand Prix front end were Grande Parisienne Safaris

 

I never heard of this either, interesting. Too bad the Wagon looks like someone dumped ashes all over it.

Good eye there 101volts. That is the optional Grande Parisienne Grande dent option.

 

This was an Executive with an add-on Grand Prix nose (I owned it at one time).

The car for sale is the Canadian version and only the Canadian Grand Parisienne got the hidden headlamps, which I felt was an up-style decision for these cars. Too bad about the Chevy motor...

 

Saw a really great ‘68 hidden headlamp brochure for one of those Pontiac woody wagons. That must have just been a two year deal. The big GP front went away in ‘69. Although that ‘69-‘72 GP front clip would look kinda cool on the midsize wagons. that ‘71-72 clip would have really made the LeMans wagon look like a mini-me Catalina.

 

If i would have worked for Pontiac in Detroit in the ‘60’s I would have driven one of those loaded ‘67-‘68 wagons. Loved the hidden headlamps and that’s big GP front end. Jokingly I would have badged it the

If you went over to Canada and bought one of those, as a GM employee, you would have had every right to park it in the Tech Center lot of which only GM cars were allowed use. That would have been a good way to get back at the Dweebs sitting on their board of executives.
As far as Chevy engines in Pontiquacks go, swapping them with 428s is the proper cure for such mischief
