Gas tank and strap needed 68 country squire

I’m looking for a gas tank and strap or either of them. I just purchased a 68 and went to put gas in it and it’s leaking out of the side of the tank and when I went to drop the tank it snapped the strap for the tank.

 

Don’t they make patches for that as a temporary fix? Or is that just for plastic tanks?

 

You can take the tank to a good radiator shop and they will sweat a patch on it. You can buy strapping at the hardware store. It comes in a small roll and is punched full of holes. Cut off a section and rivet it to bridge your break.
