That was before Tupperware parties were invented

No, that was why Tupperware parties were invented.

To keep women in the kitchen, instead of spending their time coniving devious ideas about what those blimps could be used for? I get it, now. Haven't you ever read somewhere where it says, "Idle hands are tools of the Devil"?

We quit the RV scene around 2004 or so - the girls didn't want to go camping anymore, and the wife complained that she didn't get to enjoy the vacation as much, still having to cook meals and clean up afterwards. I always pitched in, but still......... She would rather have OTHER people do all that. I can certainly understand that viewpoint.

If it were legal, you could have attached a second trailer Roadtrain style and have had it manned or womanned with servants, so that your wife could kick back. In the long run, that could be less expensive than to wine and dine her at restaurants

I would love to see that. Talk about needing dolly wheels!

Bummer. I know times and taste change, but I hope I never grow tired of camping.

Here's a rooftop tent for Type III Veedubbs. They only cost 149€. In September, the company (Semptec) might reduce them down to 139€ again

Those are some cool rigs you have there! The Airstream and 66 Squire will be an excellent combination. Thanks for sharing the links.

Not at all MotoMike. The camper itself weighs only 660lbs.

We saw a really cool looking trailer in a gas station. It was turquoise and white and looked like it should be towed behind a 57 chevy. As we passed the only thing I could make out was the word RETRO on the front of the trailer. I googled that and came up with this.

But I also have to say, Professor, those are some mighty fine looking campers you have! And when you pair them, up with the vehicles, they are flat awesome!
