Hello all! I got a crazy thing happening here.
Driving my '92 Roadmaster wagon the other day. It was about -12°c and the car had been parked for about 6hrs. When I fired it up and put it in drive, the door locks started flicking up and down real fast and would not stop untill I let my foot off the brake, or put it in park, or opened the door and put it in drive and then closed the door.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yeah, you need to get a priest and some holy water and give it a good old fashioned exorcism. :D

Yes.................:yup: let your foot off the brake, or put it in park, or opened the door and put it in drive and then closed the door. Or wait till warm weather to drive it.

    Are we helping?
I used to have cars which the doors froze shut and I couldn't get in.

I'd be afraid of blowing fuses and refreezing worse.
I remember my electric VW solonoid door remotes on my 1949 Dodge. The solonoids sometimes froze or sometimes the exposed door buttons froze. I have a feeling those "little Book" custom ideas weren't for the midwest in winters.
At least your buttons worked eventually. -12c is not fit for man nor beast!

I've got some unholy second hand water that should be warm enough for thawing out your doors, Sir

Were all four doors doing the same thing or just one door? Does the car have keyless entry? Is it still doing it or did it stop? There is a power door lock relay on your car (driver's side kick panel I believe). You might want to start looking there.

Do you have a passenger that their head spins around and they spew split pea soup?
Does the problem change when you chant "the power of Christ compels you!" ?
Have you called Ghostbusters? or a priest yet?

If she's sitting on the back seat, that's only the mother-in-law. When she's sitting up front, it's divorce time
