64 Squire coming together

I did 8' wide rims on all four corners so I can rotate them. In retrospect, I should have 7" on the front. To sharp of a turn and I get a little rub on the top of the fender. The are BOSS wheels.

 

Well, I am going to be in trouble then. I went with the 20x10 torque thrust in the back and 18x8 in the front. Its a static drop with coil overs, drop spindle in the front and I four linked the rear end, also with coil overs so we could set the ride height.

 

How are the wheels and tires working out?

 

Hey Marty, thanks for asking. I'm not sure yet, it still up on the rack.

 

I might have been OK with 8" wide in front but with the Thunderbird spindles and disc brake set up, it might have changed my offset just enough to make the 8's a little too tight. The FDB set up is worth it. If you know anyone that needs rear quarter glass, there's a guy up here that is selling both sides cheap.

 

A little different then the set up I did, so hopefully it will be okay. What is FDB?

Unfortunately, it's still on the rack. Hopefully by next Wednesday it will be on its first road test in 30 years.

What a beautiful car. You did an amazing job on the restoration and the trim work is stunning. Well done and sorry to hear you sold it but I completely understand that money talks!

 

I don't have a pic, but on SR 92 heading into Granite Falls, there's what appears to be a '54 4-door in yellow/black. Go East from SR 9, and when you get to Getchell Station (which has a traffic light and a Chevron on the North side of the route), go until the route curves to the right; as you go through the turn, you'll see a garage with a motorhome and assorted vehicles on the top of that hill.

 

BTW, my dad's first new car he ever bought was a '54 Monterey, just before he and Mom were married. They traded it a couple years later, when my oldest bro Fred was born, on a new '56 Ranch Wagon.
