At the risk of sounding :90: What is a hard top wagon? Do they not all have a hard top?

Welcome aboard, the doctor is in the house...

    Thanks fannie!!

"Hardtop" refers to the lack of a "B" pillar, or center post between the front and rear doors, so with all four windows rolled down, you have that airy, convertible feeling, but with a hard top... Here's a pic of the wagon with all the windows down...

i believe I learn something new on here almost everyday. Sometimes I even UN-learn something at the same time I'm learning something else...I too have been informed on the term "hardtop". Good question!!

Thank you on both counts Marshall!

It is currently "Hardtop Heaven" around here, with a friend's '58 Super 88 Fiesta sharing shop space with my '60 Merc... I understand you're a fan of the '58 Olds wagons! :)

Actually, if we're talking about the GM Ionia hardtop wagons, I love them all, but my preference would be for the less ornate '57 models.

    Suggestion for you:
Look up SWF member 'shelby18', who owns a '59 Colony Park (and a matching '59 Country Squire). He has a shop out in the east San Fernando Valley.

You should get rid of that old termite trap and get a real hearse. :stirthepot: DSC01298.JPG

Lol!! Thanks Dan, you're too kind :cheers2:. I love your S&S, especially the color, but as you know, my heart belongs to Eureka...

You've seen my '57 Eureka-Cadillac before, but here she is for the members of this fine forum...

I love 'em all too, but also have a preference for the '57 models, especially when it comes to the GM cars (see previous post :)).

Thanks for the suggestion, I will send a note to shelby18.. My shop is in the same area. I saw his extensive restoration threads on the MEL forum some time ago and I would love to see his awesome '59 Colony Park in person.
