Hello everyone:)! My name is Tom , from Norway. I have bought a wagon that i wanted for many years now..hehe. It's a LTD II Squire Wagon. The car needs som restoration, but is not very bad condition. Minor rust here and there, mostly on left side. This cars are very rare here in Norway, especially the squire.
I want to know if anyone know where i can find parts for this Ford's? Dearbornclassics cover the ranchero, and torinos, but they have "forgotten" the LTD II:cry:! The cars is very similar, but many parts are different. So i was thinking i could try to find a adress for some shop that hopefully sell repro or nos, maybe new parts for LTD II???
So do anyone here know where i can find parts for my car:)?
I need interior and exterior parts for my Ford.

Welcome Taurus. The LTD II is a Ford Fox designed car. You didn't say what year it is, but most parts from any Fox wagon will fit. Your choices are Ford Fairmont, Mercury Zephyr, LTD II (of course), Mercury Cougar (1982), Mercury Marquis station wagons. Interior parts might fit from 1978 to 1983. Plus the Mustang and Mercury Capri parts will fit (Dashes, brakes, engines and transmissions (4 cyl and V8 use the same crossmembers) the straight 6 uses its own crossmembers. The 4 cylinder engines from Mustangs and Capris and up to 1989 tbirds will fit also.

If you've got the 2 piece tailgate, you'll be looking for the Mercury Cougar or Mercury Marquis wagons. NOT Grand Marquis. Also the woodie Mercury Fox wagons got the Villager nameplate or Brougham Villager nameplate.

There aren't any specific places to buy new parts. But many of us should be able to help you out. Since this is just the Introduction thread, you might want to post your list of needs in General Automotive Tech or Cosmetic and Restorations sections of the site.

As a Fairmont Squire owner, I'll be glad to help, once you show us some pictures. :Welcome:

Oops, you did say it was a 1977. Forget my Fox comments. It's on a Granada, Torino wheelbase.

Welcome Tom! There are a ton of interchangeable parts from the '77-'79 Thunderbird & Cougar, '74-'76 Torino, Elite, & Cougar, and a few other bits from the FoMoCo cars of that time.

I have a '78 Ford LTD Country Squire here in Chicago, so yea I know the pains of finding some parts too. Most of the cars from the 70s around here in Chicago ended in two ways, eaither demo derbys or the salt ate up the bodies.

Yes,you're correct :)! I have bought a 1977 model LTD II wagon. I was very close to buy a Fairmount once in the past (i think it's 15 year now). But that was the Futura model, and it was about all rusted out,so i couldn't buy that car.
Fairmount is not many of here in Norway,i think it's more of the LTD Ford than the fairmount, and that says alot how rare it is :)!

The LTD II Squire is very beautiful i think,i like the big fords. And a look outside the window here, should tell the truth about that..haha. In front of my house here, i have 2 Ranchero's (one 1977 GT and a 1979 GT) and now the LTD II Squire. I think not many norwegians have this kind of collection of LTD II cars :).

On work today i was thinking about the torino, and that parts from both may fit,so that was fun to read that i have been thinking right :).
Then i have dearbornclassics and auto krafters to use for buy parts. And if someone here have some goodies they want to sell for using on the LTD II, i am very happy to hear what you have.

I will try to fix some photos of the wagon very soon ;)

Does anyone know if the headliner from 1976 modell Torino fits my LTD II ? I believe it's nearly the same car. The headliner in my cart is bad,and i see that Autokrafters have new headliner for Torino:).

I just checked the Gallery for a 1976 Torino Wagon, and other than the headlights/grille, they look the same.

Send the company an email request?

Just found this, but you might look for full-size Mercury cars too:
