Nice car but it's real hard to believe that the underbody would look that bad from the factory?

Looks good to me from all angles. But what's the deal with no rivets?

I don't have an issue with the underside, just looks like 50 year old factory or dealer installed undercoating that has become brittle and started flaking off, the VIN tag bothers be though, looks to have been removed (and badly removed at that) and Glued? to the body?

I believe the ad states it WAS repainted a few years back. Apparently, it was COMPLETELY disassembled, right down to the rivets.
I wonder, though. Every shop I have dealt with doesn't mess with the VIN tag on a repaint - they just mask it very carefully.

I was thinking the same thing. One small piece of tape would have saved potential problems. I hear it's illegal to remove those tags and attempt to put them back. After all, maybe this tag is off another car and this car was stolen. Mostly they do that with rare cars. Just sayin!
I agree on the undercoat and frame. Looks good to me. We see too many show cars and think they all should be smooth and shiny underneith.

Actually, the VIN plate is original as is. Mopar did not use rivets; all the Mopars I have in the era are just like this: no rivets, the plate is "stuck" to the pillar with the empty holes.
