The lense on my Cougar clock looks foggy, but its from previous owners cleaning the dash off with some rough product or cloths. No deep scratches, just rub marks.

What should I use? Buffers rouge on the Dremel or is there a polish that I can apply by hand. I can take it off if I have to, to do a good job.

Go to your Auto Store Norm and ask them. I use a product from Mcgiyers (spelling?)....you know who/what I meen......"Guy Smilley", the Car Crazy Guy TV show with the teeth that are way to fake white with the matching perfect fake skin tan:rofl2:

There are 2 of his products, one for clear plastic and one for tinted....both work great and are cheap;)

I built my own Casement windows, including my own sealed units -tripanes - about 5 years ago, and I used a new thin (3/32") plastic with a glass coating to save my windows from schoolkids throwing snowballs. Anyway, I've still got a scrap piece that I could make a replacement with, still with the protective paper on. Might be a better long term solution. I've got all the tools anyway, and this lens isn't rocket science.

:slap: had a brain fart (again) and forgot about mentioning tooth paste before.

The origonal Colgate, the stuff we had/used as kids is the best for polishing. the gel tooth pastes don't have the extra fine grit in them to do the same job in the same time.

You gotta use the white Colgate, not the blue stuff. It does work.
