I almost bought a 91 in 95 with a bad tranny, got a price on a used one, and went over and looked at it. We agreed on a price of $700.00, came back the next day with my truck and trailer and the car was up on blocks. I go where are the wheels, he says for $700.00 it doesn't come with them, so I left it there.
If he had said it won't have the wheels at $700, that's one thing. But pulling a sneaky like that is what get's a seller's teeth loosened, especially if you shake on the agreement and you've exchanged your money for the title and keys already. Monday, I bought a car for my bro to replace his previous car, which sucked a couple valves. When I offered $500 on a $600 price, the seller countered that that was fine as long as he kept the battery. No problem for me, I had the battery from the other car. We shook hands, exchanged goodies, I had it towed out immediately. That's how things should go down.
And even more amazing it's Scranton, PA. Most 1991 Eagle Premiers haven't looked this good since like, um, about 1992 there! I had a gf whose dad had the Dodge Monaco version of these (I think it was a 1991 also) and he liked it a lot.....(But then again he also liked me a lot too, when I was dating his daughter! so.....)
Did he tell you he liked you? My girl friend's dad told me a lot of things too. Mostly it was in a loud voice. I still married her just to make him mad. Other wise I'd found a rich pretty girl!
Oh yeah, we were cool. And the Dodge version he had was actually pretty nice. I can't say about the Premier though, as it's been years since I sawr one......
It had the PRV V6 that was used in the Volvo 760 and the DeLorean. There's part of the problem. They were fond of coming apart if the maintenance wasn't followed to the letter.
