I sold it back in 2004 to a couple from Asheville. They started painting it( in the photo gallery on stationwagonforum.com website.) for a long time it was driven around with a flat black painted front end) you shot a picture of it when you were in Asheville. The couple broke up ,she kept the car I think she sold it though. Current Whereabouts unknown.

Knowing the history of GM,and why they bought Buick to begin with(so GM could have it's own competition for Cadillac)and what's been going on for the last twenty years(things not being good for Olds and Pontiac),I have to worry for Buick...Hopefully,GM holds onto it.Leaves it to be "the quality brand" at GM,which is what it's been since the mid-80's,according to Consumer Reports. And they right their ship, over there, and bring their three surviving brands back to former glories...I don't think all this "cut and run" BS is being good for that company.

When I was a kid,my Dad was one of those weekend driveway mechanics.Fixing what needed fixing, himself.Until it just wouldn't fix no more. Then we'd get another car.Usually something between four and eight years old.The car he bought brand new,in his retirement years, was a Buick Century. It's about ten years old now.My mom is having problems with the power windows not wanting to go back up,but other than that it still runs like a champ.

Sounds like the window switch maybe.

I had similar poblem a few days after buying my Cutlass but the sticking problem was both up and down. The factory ground turned out to be my problem and I cleaned up all the conections. A new PW door switch for mine would have cost me apx $50 Canadian so not that expencive.

Best to keep Mom happy and fix it...If Mom is'nt happy, nobody is happy:yup:

Should probably do that with the Colony Park too...She's had an estimate done.$90 American, for each door. That's a killing for cleaning contacts.

My door panel off and back on fixed was maybe 45 minutes.

When it comes to your Colony, if it ain't broke yet don't fix it.....I've learned that lesson, the hard way:49::rofl:

My grandpa always bought cars a year old and kept them until nothing was left of them. He did buy his first car new, a 1949 Nash. Had a 60 Impala, 66 Caprice wagon, 65 Impala SS, 68 Impala SS 427, 73 Lemans Wagon, 78 Camaro, and others I can't recall right now. All of them were only a year old or so when he got them.
