    By default, the forum uses a fixed width layout and the forum will be centered and take up a fixed amount screen real estate. Depending on your screen’s resolution, there may be empty space around the fixed content. On a screen with a resolution of 1920 * 1200 (e.g. 24 inch wide screen monitor), there will be a significant amount of empty space around the fixed content

    A fluid layout will adapt to the size of the screen and the forum will stretch across the entire screen. upload_2015-9-9_14-54-43.png

    To change layouts, scroll to the bottom of the forum and click on the style link.

    Next click on the style you want to use.

    Every other forum I am on allows you to choose how postings are displayed. I always prefer to have the newest ones first, rather than have to scroll thru all the older ones to get to the new ones.
    The pre-upgrade version allowed this. Can it be done on this version?

    @OldFox

    Im not quite sure what you mean as the newest threads are shown first.

    If you go to this thread, my reply is at the very bottom of it. Previously, I could choose to have new replies at the top, thereby negating having to scroll down to the very bottom of the thread.
    This feature was on the pre-upgrade version.

    I will try the new posts feature directly.

    I understand now and did not know you could order the posts on the old software!

    You can view the first unread message in a thread in two ways:

    1) When viewing the list of threads, click on the red arrow before the title

    upload_2015-9-11_1-26-25.png

    2) When you are viewing a thread, click on "Go to First unread"

    I am trying to go with the flow, but this new layout is very, very difficult to wade through on the Android phone system. How it works on the computer, I don't know, but I am really unimpressed. In this case, it seems, as so much 'progress' in programming seems to he a retrograde step that takes much of the pleasure out of the website.

    Mike wondered where you've been hiding.:huh: I still use an old fashioned tower and desk set up. Still with windows 8 all of these newly formated forums are confusing. I am living in the past and barely know what an Android, Hemerroid, Blue teeth, Tablet, and those other things are and have no idee how or if they work with any group.
    But as with anything, practice makes perfect.... or at least able to fake it most of the time. Stick with it and ask questions. If the Wagonmaster and our group of Geeks can't help, the rest of us will make something up.:lolup:
