Looks like typical California coastal "top down" rust. Probably spent a lot of time near the beach. That expired red tag is from more than 10 years ago, so this car has been off the road a long time (I'd say 20).

For instance, just where is inland empire? Is that near Rhode Island or the Space Coast? How far is it from the Emerald Coast and the Gulf Coast?
I barely know where most of the 57 States are and these ad locations are getting me confused.

It's funny how being East of a major West Coast Metropolis obligates the next metropolis has to call itself the "Inland Empire." Spokane, WA also makes that claim.

I knew it was in California.
So we are west of a fairly large city, Gainsville, Fl. That makes us in the Inland Empire......or 35 miles give or take inland from the Gulf of Mexico . or as I call it the boonies!:yup:
Of course if I were selling my expensive station wagon then living in the inland empire sounds more uppity!
To my advantage we've lived on a court, a cul de sac and now a place. Far better than a common road or street! :tiphat:

Our daughter, husband, and family are building in a restricted gated community. To me that is suburban hell!
They had to build the house larger than they wanted, add brick to the street side, put on a certain colored shingled roof, and I'm sure more.
Plus no RV's, snow mobiles or motorcycles outside, and no working on vehicles.
Why would anyone build in such a location?

Problem is a good chunk of cars from the coast wind up in the desert or inland areas of California. It's extremely obvious on the ones that made the transplant.

Just like I keep telling people about Arizona cars......just because it has an Arizona title doesn't mean it's been here all it's life, and, desert cars get rust, too.

There are also noise restrictions in gated communities.:biglaugh:
