    al's oasis another little treasure .next it was to the indian museum at the St. Labre indian school, some of you may get those donation letters for the indian children ,well the place does exist and they do quite a job. then it was onto the indians remains site this dates back to 1000ad and is very interestin

    the corn palace is wild all the scenes are made from corn. the building is normally a sports arena

    The Corn Palace amazes me. Apparently they have a way of preserving it and have those pictures sealed.

    :beerchug: well we finally made it to the power tour . got my stuff,punched my card and headed to the wisconsin auto museum, then it was a quick trip on the lincoln highway

    so we stopped at magnum restorations a mopar shop and then Rad Rides by Troy. both places had awesome cars

    rad rides isnt much to look at from the outside but they sure build some neat cars. what better way to enjoy St Louis then to tour the Budweiser plant

    Thanks again. I miss our antique car club in Peoria's annual meeting at the PBR factory and all the free beer we could drink. Those were nice car club meetings!:drink::beerchug: I think!:confused:

    Many years ago when tent camping we did just that. Wrapped taters, corn, meat, etc in aluminum foil and put it on the engine as we drove to thr RV park.
    Yummm Yumm. As granpa used to say on Hee Haw. :D

    It's funny, I'm a compulsive overeater, and lately, I've been dreaming about 'manifold cooking.' Mom did that a long time ago, when we went to Yellowstone in '71. Talk about pull-apart tenderness!

    well were on the tour in st louis and stopped the budweiser plant ,saw the beer being made and the clylesdales. Then i headed down the road a bit and visited the farm of Ulysses Grant. the house is very original. From those few steps was inspired the song "How High is the water momma three feet and risen" by Johnny cash as this was his childhood home except back then it probably didnt look so open as this was a homestead property with lots of small farms

    yes i did it. im not proud but i went to graceland. it is very expensive and it fells like they herd you thru like cattle. next was my hotel, The Hollywood casino in Tunica very nice reasonable and some neat stuff in the lobby . a cobra from the elvis movie, a set from the titanic and the plane and helicopter from true lies

    so these give you an understanding of the tour in front of me and behind me. Then it was onto the Tupelo auto museum. it is a massive collection of mostly antiques buit with over 200 cars it is impressive
