Hi everyone, I'm a New Zealander living in Australia and for the past decade have been buying and selling American cars I've salvaged from anywhere I could find them. The last car I built was a Model A Ford but with a growing (extended) family it was time for something a little roomier. And who doesn't love a wagon. I guess I have a soft spot for patina as almost every vehicle I have built has that look. It's not for everyone but each to their own, right? My latest project was a patina 1960 Brookwood from Oklahoma but as luck (or unluck) would have it, this unmolested project was taken to by a disgruntled ex farm hand and is beyond repair. So it's on to the next opportunity. I guess I'm here to meet some likeminded people and hopefully find a few people who might be able to help me source my next project. As I live in Australia I rely on the honesty of sellers and their descriptions of their vehicles but so far I've only met great, honest people and made many friends along the way. I look forward to making many more on here. Cheers, Cam
Cam. A very nice introduction. Another recent member has built a few Model A's as have I. Most members love many different cars besides station wagons. Feel free to add photos of any along with your stories. So it looks to me like your other wagon was actually run over by farm equipment. Not exactly a friendly thing to happen. Usually daily members will list wagons they see on craigslist and other places. This should be a good source for your next project. It looks like a new front clip and windshield might get the wagon back on the road.
Unfortunately no. It's a little more than just the front end. The side picture isn't very clear but the whole car is now shaped like a banana. Still, there's another one out there somewhere. I just need to find it.
I was afraid of that. Looks like a heavy load was on the hood. Probably broke motor mounts and bent the frame and suspension. There's another with your name on it someplace. At least you have a parts wagon.
Hi, CAM! Ever heard of or been to the Pomona Swap Meet? If not, PM me and I'll fill you in........I sold a 69 Chevy pickup to a guy from Australia while at Pomona a couple of years ago..........
