Hope Yellerspirit doesn't mind us posting about our MORE SNOW also. We got about 56cm(1'10") of snow as well. Your right Halifax is a mess, really glad we live in the country! Hubby and our neighbour worked on the driveways last but because of the drifting over night, they were back at it this morning. I picked up Harley Saturday morning for an over night visit. But because of the weather we got to have him here until earlier today. Harley loves Poppy's truck and was disappointed when I showed up in the Sonic to pick him up on Saturday. So he wanted to get into the snow in the back. This is our neighbour and his tractor clearing snow from around his house and ours. That pile of snow is probably about 10'. It's almost out of reach for the bucket. This is my daughter and Skipper. Daughter is clearing off the deck and Skipper is blocking the door, keeping her there until it's ALL done. This is outside Mom's door. I cleared a path so she could fill the bird feeders. I dropped one of the feeders and the seed dropped into the snow, oh well the birds will find it. I took the feeders down and passed them into the house, mom filled them and I put them back. When I stepped away the birds were right there filling their little tummys. They must have been waiting in the trees for me to move away so they could feed. Guess it was a long 24 hours for them too. Street view of our house. Well the old snow fall was starting to look tired and dirty, we need a fresh snow fall to clean it up again...problem solved.
Stay safe, we are dug and blown out definably putting drift cutters in the blower as its over the top!
I don't have any pictures. But was outside most of the day in a sleeveless shirt. 72 degrees, sunny, and windy. It got so terrible I was afraid I might have to rake the lawn. It was blowing the Azalieas and carnations off the bushes. Wish I was in Illinois.
this thread is about SNOW! your hijacking Yellerspirits thread and as usual stirring things up a bit! ...hope you remembered your sunblock!?
Well if you hate Cat, I won't even bring up todays weather on the island.............. PS...Don't worry, I'm more than sure we get another dose of our winter soon.......
Heavy snow on roof forces Walmart to close. http://www.wmur.com/news/heavy-snow-on-roof-forces-walmart-to-close/31075144
You guys are bad... We started at -43C windchill this morning with more of the same tomorrow. I actually hope the parts vendor doesn't call me until Friday when we be at -28C and -13C without windchill. The mere idea of waiting at a busstop for 10 minutes is actually equivalent to assisted suicide, when it gets that cold. And then we have the Floridians wondering about their flowers...
