    My first new car in 1986 was one of these, in Spinnaker Blue. Man, I washed and waxed that thing constantly and I remember how fumed I got when acid rain started etching the paint finish. It looked like water spots that you just couldn't remove. I also remember that being a manual, I was able to chirp the tires in the first three gears, since those front tires were so darn skinny. Anyway, mechanically she really didn't hold up well . She generally ran fine but by 75K miles I was on my third water pump and second exhaust system. Cosmetically she looked great though but by 1993 I was ready to move on to a Mitsu Eclipse. Now that was a car that was indestructible!
