    I wouldn't get overly excited. :)

The price has been dropped from an insane level to a more reasonable one. We can't see everything, but it seems to have a weird mix of options. Manual tailgate, power windows and locks, no cruise control. No photos of the engine, so we can't tell about A/C.

It could be a $5,000 car, but we need more info (he says almost nothing about the car in his description) and more photos.

From the original June 2013 ad thread. It has both A/C and cruise control.

    1974 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser

    Safetied
    Low Miles
    Numbers Matching
    455 Rocket
    4 Barrel Carb
    Never Seen Winter

    Power Windows & Locks
    8 Track/AM-FM
    Power Rear Window
    Air Conditioning & Cruise Control
    Non-Smoking Vehicle
    Seats 8 Comfortably

Wagon runs and drives beautiful, you will not be disappointed. Mint condition inside and out. I would like my wagon to go to a great home, she's been real good to me :)

Priced at $6800 obo at the time. I'd wager this '74 OCC would garner quite a bit of interest on eBay. :yup: Kijiji just doesn't get you a very wide pool of potential buyers.

All well and good, but wouldn't it be better to list everything in the current ad instead of hoping people will happen across one from more than a year ago? It amazes me the number of different ways people trying to sell cars shoot themselves in the foot.

I'm encouraged by the "never seen winter" comment in the ad. I thought this was the same vehicle for sale in Chicago some time ago. Pics from that sale looked like rust was an issue.

Here is what data I have collected over the years on the 71-76 GM clamshell wagons. I am not sure how accurate it is, as it looks like different info than that you had posted, so this may be wrong. They actually broke down on the Olds wagons of models with wood-grain versus non wood-grain from 73-76.

In general, it looks to me like the 1975 models had the lowest production totals (percentage wise) of each make and 1973 being the peak of the highest numbers. The most produced clamshell appears to be the 1973 Impala 2-seat wagon - over 46,940 rolled off of the line.

Yeah, they are not too bad to lift unless they are rusted.

Good to see this one at least has A/C. That is something that was pretty rare on Canadian cars back then.

    Haha!

    Thanks, Mike!

1974 was a much more naïve and innocent time - now that brochure photo looks like a "CSI" crime scene!
