I guess i missed this part....sorry. I'm old, retired and prone to doing stupid things....like rescuing old Mopars. Have done cars since 1961 as a mechanic, shop owner, dealer wrench, service writer and a waster of my spare cash on never ending projects. Mostly into Mopar but have interest in everything out there. Currently building a slammed '71 Scamp 340,6 speed, tubed, coil over with tube front end and rack/pinion steering, plus other minor body changes,GPS guages and more wasted time add on's.Have had a few wagons and thought trading the Fury would help me get back into one.
Located in SE Wis and enjoying the summer polar vortex as we are still waiting for our first 90 degree day.
Hope this helps some. Sorry I missed this first.Bruce

Yep, you'll fit right in! :Welcome: I wasted a lot of money on CB radios but every dime I spent on cars was well worth it.
We've spent a lot of time in SE Wisconsin camping and wandering around.

CatmodelT, I spent a lot of money on Ham Radio which I'm still very active in and the reason I'm in SE Wis. bought a farm just to put listening antenna's on.
Couldn't afford to live in Il where I'm from.
Thanks all for the nice welcome and I hope I can work something out to get back into a wagon.
    Bruce

Same for us. From central Illinois and retired to NW Florida. Still love all of the places we camped in NE Illinois and Wisconsin. Love the Dells and Door County the best.
The last drive in move we went to was south of Kenosha.

Hey Bruce sounds like you are making a nice Pro-Touring car. That's what my wagon was. Have a look at my build on here if you like. Oh and welcome.

I guess it would be sort of a pro touring car although I never have given it any thought one way or the other just building something I thought would be different. It has '70 AMC outer door handles,'70 Cuda gas filler, insides of the front doors cut out and 1973 door insides welded in to eliminate the vent windows but keep the upper door trim the same as 1971, Caltrack mono springs with sliders really more set up for drag racing then anything else. Engine went 9:80's in a 2100lb car and I'm at 2900 lbs so it should get down the road ok and still cruise with the six speed.Hope to paint it by the end of the summer.

That drive in closes the end of the summer, last one around. I'm from the northern suburbs of Chicago along the lake (Glenview the poor one not the rich one) I'm 10 miles west of Kenosha. They just had the big AMC homecoming here for all the cars built here pretty crazy week end if you are into "Ramblers" maybe 1200/1300 here for 4 days and a couple big shows.
