Yeah Tedy, I'm surprised you're going with custom wheels and tires. I would've thought you would have gone with factory stock original.

    NO, we DON'T need pics!:oops:mg:

I don't really have a choice, the original wheels are long gone:cry: The wheels I'm using are free-bee's so like fannie says, do the best with what you got.

I'll have some in progress pics later today

A day late, but other things came up. ........

With the exception of the router'd (sp?) spots I got the sides cleaned and sanded the best I could.

Water stains I'm afraid will be there forever, mostly on the one side.... there is just no sanding them out, far to deep as you can see.

Below you can see the front and rear pieces, with the new wheels being much wider I think I will use the wood as a template and make the wagon 4" inches wider with new wood. I also am hoping to be able to beg, borrow, or steal alum checker plate for the floor. Even if I didn't widen the 1/4 plywood floor just isn't worth a resto. If I can't find checker plate next to free I have some usable 1/4 plywood but I'll cover it in 1/8 stainless steel that I have..... but I don't want to cut into a full 4'x10' sheet for this if you know what I mean.

Slow but steady...... at least iIll have one wagon restored this year:rofl2:

Those side pieces look darn good! So----- you are not restoring your little wagon. You are building a custom. Kool!
With diamond plate and those heav duty wheels Deb will be able to pull you around the neighborhood.
Or train the dogs to be Mush hounds!

No, Deb would just leave me where I fell:rofl2:, the dogs though.....now that's a idea, all I would need is a long stick with a thick juicy steak tied to it and they would bring me anywhere I wanted to go!:rednose:

rain today, so no wagon work:cry:. I think I'll also make some drop in stake sides but not shure how I want to do that yet as I don't want to screw brackets to the wagon itself.

I'm also contemplating "maybe" going around the side pieces with a router, but not to deep, just deep enouph to paint red for a pinstripe look before staining, kinda like this but not to scale.......

Okay Tedy. Enough of this. Even with larger wheels and a cross over near the muffler bearing you will never get over 20BEER PM. Of course Canadian liters may vary and if it's downhill from the liquer store, with a tail wind, anything is possible.
It also depends on what the dogs had for lunch and how often they had to stop at a fire hydrant!:) Mileage may vary!

and a 6' inch dual exhaust, over inflated Korean tires, and a class VIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII factory towing package witch all Canukastan pull wagons got because our pull wagon standards were higher than U.S.A. pull wagons all comes out to 40 beer per mile:drink:......there ya go, I proved it!:rofl2:

[IMG]I was always impressed by all of the swap meet wagons at large car events. Some were motorized.
