Oh man, I am so sorry for you. I don't know what I was expecting after your first post but I figured since you didn't come rite out and tell us it couldn't have been that bad as it really is.

That jeep has damage to it's other rear corner and body parts laying on the ground, did some one hit and push it into your wagon?

Danged Tedy I believe you've got it. I noticed the damaged Jeep left tail light but didn't even pay attention to the bumper damage and red parts on the ground.
Apparently someone else hit the Jeep at an angle and shoved it over into the 59 wagon and forward farly hard. The question is where is that vehicle? Was Murphy driving it?
This is very upsetting no matter how it happened. So much work went into the wagon and so much planning for a fun trip.

Really sorry to see that. Did the Jeep hit you or did some other vehicle push the Jeep into your car?

Almost certainly the Jeep was hit and pushed into the Chevy, else there would be a lot of damage to the quarter panel. That is one HELL of a mess, that's for sure! Good luck getting her home, and very good luck fixing her back up! On that note, yes, Mr. Murphy's law was at work. I'm thankful, though, that nobody was injured in either of the two parked cars! That is the biggest blessing of all. Make sure you keep us up to date on the repairs, and if we can help, just say.

Oh, crap. I would be livid and obligated to drag the idiot out and beat him with a tire iron until he cried for his mother.

this wasnt the beginning or the end of my problems on that day. seems the o2 sensor went bad on friday morning when i went to leave my first hotel in ga. made it a few miles into SC when the car just quit running ,luckily i made it to a rest area so i had a safe place to work on it. while trying to troubleshoot the problem while on the phone with summit and msd, the tranny line blew off so i had to get it towed to a little town called Hardeeville SC. No O2 sensor was available till the next morning which was saturday when the accident happened. I get to the mechanic shop and he says i can leave it by him. Great now all i need is a rental, a mustang, camaro ,or challenger will do. well 4 hrs, 2 AAA reservations, lied to about being able to pick me up and now getting close to missing day 1 the mechanic agrees to run me to savannah airport to get a car, at this point anything will do. I go to Enterprise to pick up whatever i can get cause they swore they had no sporty cars available and lo and behold a new challenger and mustang sitting side by side and i can have my pic. Well my wife has a 2012 mustang gt so i now what that is like so i now have a 2014 challenger with a 6 cylinder for the power tour. Good thing is that gas is crazy here. At some points reg gas has been over $4 with super at $4.50 so the 6 cyl using reg gas and getting over 25 mpg as compared to 15 mpg i was getting so far with the wagon will definately save me a few hundred $$$ at the pump. Then to top it all off i book a discounte room with priceline and they overcharge my credit card so that became a big fight also with me having to file a fraud claim with my cc

yes the car that hit us drove over a small island hit the jeeps drivers side and sent the jeep into my drivers side doors. after he hit the jeep he then smashed my rear 1/4 almost into the tire, and broke the exhaust and then he took off

Man. I don't know how to type out the horrified sounds I've been making reading the posts this morning.

I am So Sorry. Since it was a hit and run, I guess they don't know who did it?

And then he took off? Fawking piece of s#!t! Now I know he deserves to be beaten senseless! And I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time of it anyway. You'd think having a driving vacation would help you relax. If this doesn't cause you to become an alcoholic, you've got a very strong will.

Is any of this gonna make it into Hot Rod magazine's next Power Tour issue? Perhaps getting the pics out might help find the "lower than a rattlesnake's @$$ in a wagon wheel rut" POS that did it. Slim, I know, but a chance, nonetheless. The POS's car might show up in a body shop and get spotted by a sympathetic bodyman.
