Engine is a 1966 Olds 330 pretty much stock with the exception of the Edelbrock intake and carb, this car is a mutt, lots of donor cars have sacrificed pieces for this wagon.

So you're making the mutt into a purebred. :tiphat: Wasn't there an aluminum block in the '64's?

Last year for the (aluminum) 215 V-8 was 1963. I had one (my first car) GM then sold the tooling to Rover. The V-8 in the Range Rover is a direct decendant of that engine.

Didn't know what year, but a friend of mine is beefing up his Rover and has some tips about your engine (down halfway on the lefthand menu):

Seems they had Aluminum heads for the 300/330? He has pics about good valve grinds and some pretty bad grinds on the Cast Iron heads.
