;)Compare the 1955 and 1956 Chevys with the 1957's. 57's had too much added, the fins, the busy grille, the sidetrim.
I heard many people who regularly ordered a new car canceled the 57 and ordered a 58.
Yes, I love the 57 Chevys also.

I wouldn't say the last generation of Matador coupes were ugly, but that one - now that's UG - LY!!!

Auto styling is always going to be appreciated (or not appreciated) as a subjective thing. Take a general survey of people walking the street on what's an ugly car, and I guarantee the list will be filled with Chevettes, Pintos, Corvairs, Yugos, Gremlins and Pacers, plus a few possibly lesser-known accepted uglies like the Pontiac Aztek. Why - because they wern't necessarily ugly- they were just 'known' for being 'problem' vehicles. See what I'm talking about with this list...

But there are designs out there that even the experts all agree were bad.....

Krash I thought the Azteks were hideous, I remember right by my work was a pontiac dealer and my friend worked there, they had five on there first stock order, ended up giving them away literally 5 years later, and yes they were mechanically crappy too. Double whammy.

I guess that's what I love about them. The more flash and pizzazz on a car, the better for me. Ironically, my dad had a 57 210, and is now looking for a 55 or 56 wagon and doesn't want a 57 because he doesn't like how the 57 wagons look

I wasn't crazy about that restyle of the same old AMC car, but I really thought Fords knock off, the Maverick, was MUCH uglier than the Falcons and Mustangs that came from the same parts bin.

You are right Krash. Very few off those in that list are what I would call ugly. Some are odd or plain but that is not the same as ugly. Now the Aztec is ugly, but the Vega??? Far from it, the Duster... hardly. I suppose the guy who made tha list probably drives around in one of those things that looks like a cross between a Bratwurst and a stick of melted butter thinking that he is tres' cool in the process.

If someone posted this before, I missed it.
The Zimmer company butchered many fine cars to make "neo classic" pimpmobiles.
And they made a LOT of them.
IMHO, the fugliest mistake they ever made was the Quicksilver II.
Based on a mid engine Pontiac Fiero, they turned a pretty fair little sportscar into.....
    This:

And you thought the Riviera/Tucker was bad. :disagree:
