Looking to e-bay to buy a cover for my '77 colony park, anyone have any recommendations for me. Example; what worked and what didn't, indoor outdoor usage, good supplier bad supplier and so on?
I've been looking for an inexpensive indoor-quality cover for my '70 Squire, but haven't found anything yet. My car never sits outside, so the primary purpose of the cover would be to keep dust off while it resides in the garage. What would probably work would be a cover designed for a Chevrolet Suburban, or the like. It would probably hang a little low on my wagon, but that wouldn't be an issue for me. Otherwise, custom covers that I've priced seem to run in the $200-$250 range to start. So far I've only browsed the covers on Amazon.
I found some "guaranteed to fit" ones on e~bay for about 50 to a 100 bucks. Just looking for some input. Never thought of the suburban though. Good idea. Thanks
I "bit the bullet" since my car sits outside, and bought a California Car Cover. It is light material that is UV and water resistant. The car's paint is kept very well. The wind gets under it but only in big storms. It only lasts about 2 years in the hot summers and rainy winters in Virginia. I am satisfied that it is protecting my car as well as one can out in the weather.
It wraps around the front and rear bumpers, covering them completely, and goes down to just below the bottom of the rockers, so the car is completely covered. I have 2 mirrors and I found that those also help to hold it in place in a heavy wind.
