Uh. Ok. Wow. $60,000? It is a nice Fleetwood, but for $60K, I would expect one with like 2 miles on the odometer. This one has 29K. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976...9250410?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2582437aea
I may be odd, but I prefer the Sedan DeVille 4 door hard top of all the body styles offered in 76. To me it is a sleeker design, and the proportions just look right on it. Now, if I could have a steel roof DeVille, in this colour scheme, I would be very happy indeed!
" If it don't say wood it ain't no good" with Cadillacs. Those cars are a dime a dozen in the big city.
Wow they must have some good drugs in Scranton. Nice car and all....worth maybe $10K on the high end.
My Dad had a 72 Fleetwood Brougham that looked brand new when he sold it in 1980 for 5 grand, if he were alive today he would be beating his head on a wall if he saw this. :banghead3:
At a fast glance... Carpets are worn and DIRTY !!! Sill plates have corrosion.. Headlight is falling out.. Trunk is a freaking mess... And with an 'air freshener' from a long time ago probably smoked in car... Even if seller mistakenly typed in too many '0' on price I would still have a hard time thinking the car would bring 6000$ ......
That's it $6,000...... I'd give maybe $5,000.............. No more zeros. Wait! It's not a wagon. forget it.
Sounds like someone is being told to get rid of the car, so you inflate the price and try, then when it doesn't sell you can honestly look at your spouse and say "honey I tried to sell it, honest I tried" .
I do as well! I think they went with these sedan design because the car was so long and this made it more structurally sound. lol. I think these were one of the longest production cars made. Yeah, they are not even rare cars to be honest... always see a few (especially 75-76 models) for sale on ebay. $10K would be my guess. The 1972 Fleetwood Brougham was my favorite one of all! I want one withouth the coach lights on the c-pillar (never was a fan of those) and want it with the brocade cloth/leather interior combo. My uncle had one that was silver-blue with dark blue interior, just what I wanted, but it was "vandalized" by the previous owners wife before my uncle got it (after he paid for it!!!). She threw a block through the window, threw in some gasoline and lit the interior on fire! She did this to FOUR of her husbands old cars. One was a 60s or 70s Oldsmobile, I don't recall the other two. The man had just got home when she did it and he was able to throw buckets of water inside the Caddy to put the fire out. It was really bad, but not so bad that my uncle still drove the car home!!! It burned out the headliner and burned the tops of the seats and made a stinky mess in general. The PO had even kept blankets on the seats and carpeting! When I seen the car I literally almost vomited when I seen what that old witch had done! That was about 10 years ago. I think he finally took out the drivetrain and junked the car. I would trade my '72 wagon for a '72 Fleetwood if I could find someone willing to trade... I love them that much! I thought all of that as well. lol.
