Hi everyone, Im Jona, 26, living in the Netherlands and proud owner of a 1983 Caprice Estate. My wagon is originally from California and brought here in 2008. I have been into American cars since I was a kid and have owned a few modern classics so far. Have always done most of the work on these cars myself. Other cars are a '76 Caprice I imported from Pennsylvania in '04 and a 1980 Continental. Daily driver is a '97 Century (yes I am 26) Looking to buy an early '70s wagon to replace my '83 if I find the one I like. Last year I had the di-noc replaced, which was a little unsatisfactory.. With a little googlin I found threads about di-noc on the wagon forum so I thought I might as well sign up! Will keep you posted about this if appreciated. Looking forward to communicate with fellow wagon lovers and will add value to the forum where I can!
Welcome Jonas! Nice to hear of younger chaps into these old beauties! (I'm 31) I have a Caprice Wagon too. - Love yours. Mines an '87. best wishes. Kurt.
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call HOME! You'll fit in just fine. What a great wagon you have there. It is a LONG time since I saw one of those there that was that beautiful. Around here, the salt in the winters tends to eat them from the inside out. Join in, as I'm sure you have a whole bunch of knowledge of these cars that a lot of members can learn from.
Hey Jona: ] If I remember well, I have worked on your model year 1976 Caprice sedan, many moons ago....
Thanks all Erik! That is right, lost track of you quite some time ago! Good to see you're into nice cars still
Here are a three photos I took way back in 2006 (?): < Click this one, it's 1940 x 1455 pixels I have loads (61 images) more, including a few action shots featuring you working on the rear differential
Are you living in the Netherlands still? Owning any classic cars? Pictures featuring me working on the differential, I remember you were helping out and doing most of the hard work Is there a way you can send me the rest of the pictures? I would be very grateful.
