Hello, My name is john paul and i just graduated from high school. I have gotten bitten by the bug and bought a 1969 LTD country squire wagon. I bought it from the original owner. its got a 429 with power everything except seats. And to be honest I dont really know what Im going to do with it yet. Im very glad i found this website and i will appreciate all the help that i will get here.

Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home! You're going to fit in just fine around here! As for what to do with that glorious old wagon, there is but one answer: Drive it! You can have real fun with that old girl. With some minor upgrades, you can make her handle like nobody will believe, and with a few other upgrades, you can coax fuel economy out of her that will leave people amazed. Have fun, and be sure to join in the discussions. I'm certain there are things we old codgers can learn from you, and you just may learn a thing or two from us as well.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, once i get some better picts ill upload them. jaunty75, no i wasnt a pope. All throughout school ive been asked if i was the pope haha. And about the wagon, i think im just gona get it running for now and go with the rat rod look until i can afford to restore it the right way. If i can get mine running i would love to drive it to the rod run. Even if not i would love to meet a fellow board member. Ill have picts up in a few days. -JP

    Welcome aboard, john paul!

I think the front end styling of your car is one of Ford's best designs ever!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. It's great to see someone so young interested in old station wagons. Hopefully, you'll rub off on more folks your age!
