What a wonderful surprise. Thank you very much Marshall for the Nomad. It's proudly displayed with my other die casts of cars i've owned. it's nearly a perfect color match too!
I've had a few things to do to get it to pass the safety inspection. i had to relocate front brake lines ( to close to exhaust) install metal battery hold downs install a speedway transmission X member relocated rear brake lines - too close to exhaust and the california tires were near new but showing cracked on teh sides so new tires. also the rear wheels used a spacer- not legal during an inspection so I had to get new wheels as well. By luck I found this set of new American racing 15 inch and coker red line radials a fellow paid $2800 for. He didnt like them on his 67 firebird so was selling them for $1000... got them for $800. They may have 200 miles on them. So, just waiting for the X member to come from Speedway and still have to relocate the rear brake lines, then its on the road for summer!
------------------^^^^^^^^^^ Yes they do. The wagon looks even better sitting there. Where we live I think all we have to do is show up and let them check the VIN. And give them money! Think of all the trouble you could have saved by giving me that old station wagon. Way to go Marshall !
The really cool thing was I had planned on going with red lines as soon as I save up for them and seeing the wheels and tires waiting for me less at than the cost of the tires... it was meant to be.
Maybe you should buy a few lotto tickets. I can't get over how nice the wagon looks in that photo. Just seems even better than before. Does the man have another set just laying around?
