They probably got tired of receiving e-mails. But why not just respond and say it's been sold, or whatever? It's just common courtesy to do so.

    Here's what I did buy

[IMG] Higher mileage but has most of the options I wanted (except A/C).
In my garage on Monday if all goes as planned.

Beautiful wagon. My favourite wagon is the 69/70 with hideaway headlights. Congratulations on your acquisition! Hope to join the 69/70 crew someday.

Don't tell my wife, but I think matching 69 429 Country Squire wagons would be a great idea...

I think the person in Alma was abducted by aliens, but one day that car will show up.

Hi Guys, I live in Alma, I will do some digging for Phil. It suprises me I don't know this vehicle, but it may have been tucked away in a barn at one of the many farms in the area. I will get back to Phil with an update this week.

    Cheers Curtis

The person never replied to the multiple responses to their Kijiji ad, several members of the forum were able to track down the address of the seller and I travelled there several months ago. There was no answer at the door and to date there has been no reply to the note that I left in the mailbox.
What gets me about this is the lack of communication on the sellers part, if you have sold it just say so, if you have changed your mind that's fine but just let people know.
If you know how to post an ad online then you can at least reply of make a phone call.

If you want the address LMK as I am sure that I still have it here somewhere.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the reminder of your attempt to help me out. Sure wish the seller had responded to you (or me). As I recall, the address was Rebecca St. W. Far west end, with an address somewhere around 37 or so. Last house on the right (north side) behind a lot of evergreen trees. Would be nice to know if it was sold or not. Phil

    69 wagon

Hi Guys, I tracked down the wagon, it's still there, elderly man owns it and doesn't have a computer (I think ). He was quite willing to talk with me because I was from town, a bit quirky and probably wouldn't talk to strangers is my guess. I am going to try to get a few photos of car if it ever stops snowing, hopefully by end of the week. I also hope we can start it up as well.
    Cheers Curtis

This car has attracted so much interest on this forum that there may be a few Ontarians interested in buying it by now, if Phil doesn't want it to complete a matching pair. :)

I talked to a local mechanic who has worked on car once or twice and is an old car guy as well. He worked on it two years ago, something minor but as he recalled, said it was super solid and straight. I am going over to take some photos for Phil, get it running, take it over to a garage (same guy ) and put it up on his hoist to get a full view then report back to Phil. He is still interested, I will let Phil keep people posted for now. Older gentleman owns it and isn't found of strangers may have been part of the problem. Cheers Curtis
