The car is "no longer for sale"...:(

I was seriously looking at ways to get some money together for this wagon! I'm normally a Mopar guy, but I've owned some very cool Pontiacs over the years, including several convertibles ('62 Tempest LeMans, '66, 67, & '68 Bonneville, and '65 Catalina). This car makes me drool with desire! But, alas, poor Yorick, the car is not for sale anymore!

    I am sad.:(

I don't blame you, Patrick. If I still had big money I would have made some big offers on the side in that auction and probably ended up with it. That's likely what happened. Or...he decided to go the Hemmings or Barret-Jackson route. I would have pretty much thrown caution to the wind on this wagon. I hope someone saved a lot of pix of this beauty!

That's the most stunning Pontiac wagon I've seen in a LONG time! And the seller is probably right in estimating that car as likely the only Plum '67 Exec wagon built.

Oh, well, there is a 1960 Bonneville in Colorado that I've had my eyeballs on for about three years. The seller said he's likely going to sell this year, so I've got a great shot at that one.

Anyone know what this Pontiac was bid to before it was pulled from eBay?

Last I saw it was at $17,000. May have gone up from that. If it sold ... it was for more than that by a long margin IMHO. In my money day I know what I would have paid for it. And maybe more if forced.:yup:

That's because it has kicked back to the way it was originally posted. That's what sometimes happens when the ad is pulled. I don't know why they do it that way...eBay does a lot of strange things.
I think this guy got enough phone calls that he was getting offers off site.

Have you found a set of Pontiac Rally II wheels for your Safari, Krash?

Found some, but not a nice set, and not anywhere close, so no - haven't bought any yet. I need the fairly rare 5x5 bolt pattern. I'm a bit low on the shimoleans right now, anyway. I'm tucking a few bucks away every now and then in my wagon 'nest egg'.

Wheel Vintiques makes an aluminum wheel reproduction of the Rally II's in a 17" size, which I like a lot. Unfortunately, they are in the smaller bolt pattern. 'Spensive, though.

With a bit of luck, the new owner will find us and join. Then we can enjoy the car for years!
