Hallo Nitoh und danke für dein Nachricht. Hello (again ) This is a real international forum! great! The story of my wagon is extremely simple! i had to put that car directly to the dump! But i didn't, I wanted to know if it was possible/raisonable to restaure it. Now I can say : Possible, yes; Raisonable, definitly not! Well, first job was to change the bottoms? Moulding? (under the doors), I also see that i had to change a part of the right front floor. The bottom of the car seems to be not too bad before wasching with High pressure water... After that job I took the car to the body workshop for cosmetic work and started to dismantled it. and then, the big surprises were there!! See you! Jérôme
Hello! I saw that there iwas a thread about restaurations... my be the "modérateur" could change the place of my thread? Thank you! Jérôme
Well thats pritty cool........and what are the chances that yesterday I was brousing old "wagons in vintage street scenes" and page 297 was the fisrt one I went to and..........
Thank you! Apparently you haven't seen cars in North America, especially the mid west and upper east coast. Your wagon would have been a show winner the way you found it! Great work saving a rare wagon. I actually have seen Panhard Breaks here.
We don't care where members post as long as they do it. Of course, this is just my opinion as a member who loves station wagons.
Re re re Hello everybody! Nice picture fat teddy were did you get that one! I send you more pictures of this catalogue eh eh! Most every days your Panhard wagon is usefull!! Here are pictures of the beginin of the work on the car First we cut the... (under panel? how do you call that in English?) After cutting.... Discovering! The marvelous crunchy-car! and it was just a start, a preparation for much interesting things! Bye Bye! Jérôme
Cool wagon! Interesting reading on Wikipedia that a Panhard won the 1961 Monte Carlo rally and the 2nd and 3rd places were also Panhards.
Keep up the good work. It is always possible to save almost any car. Reasonable, however, has several factors. One, of course, is cost. However, reasonable becomes a slightly different thing when you look at production numbers and survival rates. With a total production of 3,000 or so, and all these years later, you must be looking at a very rare vehicle by now. When you get in to remaining number of hundreds, then reasonable becomes a lower benchmark. Get into the tens, and it suddenly seems reasonable to save every one you can, assuming the cost is affordable to you. That is one lovely looking wagon, and I am sure it will be truly glorious when you are through the process. Have fun, and keep the pictures coming! As for the different locations, here works just fine by us. Yours is not the first long term project to be in this section, and it won't be the last, I'm sure. Just have fun! Keep us up to date. I'm fairly sure that eventually we will have someone else on here who needs the expertise only you can provide about one of these unusual and very neat cars.
What a neat wagon you have. Thanks for joining and sharing the pictures. Watching your restoration will be a lot of fun.
