NOTE: This is not my car, nor do I know the seller. I'm merely sharing an ad that I found online.

Looks pretty solid....wonder how the wood would respond to the Pledge treatment and the paint to buffing with some compound, might look real sharp! This car has the hide away headlights? (y)

This car does indeed have the hide away headlamps. You can just see the cover forming an eyebrow over the light in the front end picture. It does indeed look beautiful. Wish I had somewhere to keep this one. It is beautiful!

The hide-away lamps were standard on the LTD Country Squires for '69 and '70. The Country Sedans had the Galaxie trim which did not have the headlamp doors.

    Thanks for the ad connection!

I have been looking for this vehicle for almost 2 years. I sent a response to the owners of the ad. Hopefully I hear something soon. I will buy it immediately if it is still available.

    Thanks again Cyber-Wizard

Keep us posted on how you make out..........we love the chase, the capture, and then the use of a wagon.

    No response.

Well, I have sent three e-mails and received no response and no "confirmation" e-mail from Kajiji.

Has anyone used Kajiji successfully? It would be great if I had a phone number, but all I have is a location of Alma, Ontario (about 250 miles from my house).

It is possible that they are away for the holiday?

An option, run a wanted advert? On Kijjiji and Craig's List and see if they respond............

Or title one Wanted in Alma

Thanks! That is good to hear.
Now, what if it is an American (like me) responding to the kajiji ad?

My last 3 cars all came off Kijiji, including Bertha. The trick is, like any classified ad, to ask good questions. For a car at a distance, the best bet, no matter where the ad is posted, is to get someone you trust to inspect it for you. Then make arrangements with the seller for payment and shipping. Remember, too, that for crossing the border, unless you come up and bring it across yourself, you need a bonded shipping agent, even though there is no duty on the car, and that adds to the cost.

69 LTD Country Squire (Canada)- no response.

Well, I think I will have to give up on the 69 wagon from Alma, CA. Breaks my heart as this is the exact car I have been looking for. What a bummer. Meanwhile, I found a 1970 version of the same vehicle for $2100 using this site, contacted and received a reply from the owner (within 10 minutes of my e-mail) and will buy the vehicle dependent on his pictures and info on the car. If the Canadian wagon comes up again, I'll be on top of it too.

    Thanks all,
    Phil

It never ceases to amaze me just how often people post an ad and then don't reply to responders. How do they expect to sell anything?

It may already be sold and they are not going to respond to anyone else is the only thing I can think of.
