Better than Achie Breakie heart ! Me too! I'll be humming it when I go to bed. Only my wife's named Dollie............ Oooops! I was in several HS classes with Peggy Sue thru four years of high school and none with my wife. I guess we learned different things. Obviously Peggy and I had some things in common. We both retired to Florida's Gulf coast. Things like this make you say "what if?" But I doubt no other woman would have put up with me for over 55 years and liked old cars and old RV's.
Oh, yeah, right, for the car, you bet. Like no one is even remotely wondering what Rev's long lost luv looks like But of course pics of the wagon would be an added bonus
Come on guys. We don't look the same as we did a few years ago either! Some of us gained a few pounds, lost a few hairs, have a few wrinkles. That is, everyone except me! I'm the young boy on the right in the grey suit. On my last HS reunion I had to read the signs several times. Thought we were at the Nursing home instead of the Country Club.
Thanks CapriceE. I'm still havin my dream. On our 25th class reunion I drove our 57 Chevy. Parked in the regular parking lot and they made me park right up next to the front door of the hall we were using. Nearly every classmate sat in our car for photos and fun. On the 50th my best man and best friend drove his 57 T-bird. My 57 was long gone. Now where's Peggy Sue?
Sounds like you guys know how to have a reunion! I haven't had any yet myself. Hoping to have the Caprice wagon looking good and back on the road by my 5 year. It's the car I was best known for in HS, even more than my '60 Bel-Air, which was prettier lol.
Wife's 40th is coming up next summer. Taking a trip to Manhattan Beach. Sad thing is, her high school is no longer in existence. School district closed it and sold off some of the property. Gym and auditorium are still there. One of her classmates runs the auditorium as a community theater, putting on plays and musicals.
